UMGC PRESENTS

UMGC Presents: Stress Management

Presented by Dr. Christopher J. Anderson

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how psychology and other social sciences can improve our understanding and management of stress. We begin by exploring when and why humans feel stress, and the many different uses and outcomes of stress. We will then look at the various ways that have been proposed for managing excessive stress that occur in oneself or others. Students will be invited to try some of these techniques and coached in basic practices that can help prevent negative stress-related outcomes.
