How to get your international credential or credit evaluated.
UMGC accepts credential and credit evaluations from any National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)-approved organization, including the World Education Services (WES) and International and Education Research Foundations (IERF). Find an evaluation agency on the NACES website. All are independent and not affiliated with UMGC.
- Follow the specific instructions of the agency, including information about translation of the credentials
- Include full payment as instructed by the agency
- Mail completed forms and payment directly to the agency—not to UMGC
- Request that the agency send the completed evaluation to UMGC at the following address:
Attn: Student Records
University of Maryland Global Campus
3501 University Blvd. East
Adelphi, MD 20783-8075
UMGC reserves the right to determine acceptability and/or placement of international academic credit. Evaluation by an international evaluation agency does not guarantee acceptance or use in the UMGC degree.
Note: For course transfer credit toward UMGC programs/degrees, UMGC may request additional information, such as a course syllabus.
