About Paul Hartmann: Paul obtained a B.S. in Earth Science with a minor in Chemistry at Southern Connecticut State University and a Doctorate in Chemical Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. The focus of his research was the sources, transport and fate of organic contaminants in estuarine sediments. He has taught oceanography and environmental science for UMGC since 2009 mostly based in South Korea.
