    Within the overall outcomes of the AA degree in General Studies, the specialized curriculum in psychology will help you develop knowledge of human behavior.

    Courses in the Psychology Curriculum (25 credits)

    • (3 Credits, PSYC 100)

    Psychology-related courses (12 Credits); Chosen from the following:

    • PSYC 321 (or another PSYC course)
    • (3 Credits, PSYC 335) (or another PSYC course)
    • PSYC 351 (or another PSYC course)
    • (3 Credits, PSYC 353) (or another PSYC course)

    Elective courses (10 Credits)--Courses that may be applicable to the BS in Psychology are recommended.

    Since some recommended courses fulfill more than one requirement, substituting courses for those listed may require you to take additional courses to meet degree requirements. Consult an advisor whenever taking advantage of other options. See information on alternate courses (where allowable) to fulfill general education requirements (in communications, arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, and research and computing literacy).

    Research and Computing Literacy Course

    Communications Courses

    • (3 Credits, WRTG 111) or other writing course
    • (3 Credits, WRTG 112)
    • (3 Credits, SPCH 100) or other communication, writing, or speech course

    Math Course

    • (3 Credits, MATH 105) or (3 Credits, MATH 103) (available overseas only); or other approved math or statistics course

    Arts and Humanities Courses

    • (3 Credits, HIST 125) or other arts and humanities course
    • (3 Credits, HUMN 100) or other arts and humanities course

    Behavioral and Social Science Courses

    • (3 Credits, ECON 103) or other behavioral and social science course
    • (3 Credits, BEHS 103) or other behavioral and social science course

    Biological and Physical Sciences Courses

    • One of the following pairs of lecture and laboratory courses in the same session:
      • (3 Credits, BIOL 101) and (1 Credit, BIOL 102)
      • (3 Credits, NSCI 100) and (1 Credit, NSCI 101)
      • Other paired science lecture and laboratory courses taken in the same session
    • (3 Credits, GEOL 100) or other science lecture course
