ESL Schedule
The schedule was updated on 12/15/2025. New students are welcome to join these courses. There is no prerequisite for ESL courses. Please note the location. Classes listed as Via Zoom are online and can be taken from virtually anywhere.

ESL 1103: Advanced ESL
In this course, students will be developing their English skills to be utilized in professional environments including business dialogue in speaking and writing. Topics and vocabulary introduced will cover various workplace situations such as telephone etiquette, describing upbringing, office terminology, modern transportation, expressions for emergencies, giving/asking for directions and others.
ESL 1202: Business & Professional Communications II
In this course, students will develop their English skills to be utilized in professional environments, including business dialogue and business writing. Topics and vocabulary introduced will cover various business situations such as making appointments and suggestions, hotel customer service, giving advice and describing locations.
ESL 2102: ESL Reading, Synthesizing & University Communications 2
In this course, we will learn skills and techniques to read academic texts more quickly and effectively. We will practice conveying information from various texts in written or spoken summaries. In addition, we will focus on writing clear paragraphs and appropriate emails.
ESL 2202: ESL Listening, Speaking & University Communications 2
In this course, we will review new techniques that facilitate the development of listening skills and apply these techniques to better understand academic and real-world listening (and videos). You will regularly participate in academic and non-academic discussions on a variety of topics and present as a part of a group to the class. In addition, we will regularly practice independent listening and note-taking skills.
