ESL Schedule
The schedule was updated on 9/14/2026. New students are welcome to join these courses. There is no prerequisite for ESL courses. Please note the location. Classes listed as Via Zoom are online and can be taken from virtually anywhere.

ESL 1102: Intermediate ESL
This is a basic academic English course targeting listening, reading, speaking, and some writing that can be utilized in class discussions. Topics include nationalities, occupations, diet and health, sports and leisure, weather, and technology.
ESL 1202: Business & Professional Communications II
In this course, students will develop their English skills to be utilized in professional environments, including business dialogue and business writing. Topics and vocabulary introduced will cover various business situations such as making appointments and suggestions, hotel customer service, giving advice and describing locations.
ESL 2101: ESL Reading, Synthesizing & University Communications 1
In this course, we will learn how to read academic texts more quickly and effectively. We will practice summarizing information from written texts. In addition, we will explore writing well-structured paragraphs.
ESL 2202: ESL Listening, Speaking & University Communications 2
In this course, we will review new techniques that facilitate the development of listening skills and apply these techniques to better understand academic and real-world listening (and videos). You will regularly participate in academic and non-academic discussions on a variety of topics and present as a part of a group to the class. In addition, we will regularly practice independent listening and note-taking skills.
