    With the associate’s specialized curriculum area in legal studies, you’ll gain introductory-level knowledge and techniques that can help prepare you to work in a legal environment or earn a bachelor’s degree in legal studies at University of Maryland Global Campus.

    • One 3-credit course in communication, writing, or speech, chosen from the following:
      • (3 Credits, ENGL 102)
      • (3 Credits, ENGL 281)
      • (3 Credits, JOUR 201)
      • Any 3-credit COMM or SPCH courses
      • Any 3-credit WRTG courses (except 486A and 486B)
    • One 1-credit course, chosen from the following:
      • (1 Credit, CAPL 198A)
      • (1 Credit, CAPL 198B)
      • (1 Credit, CAPL 198C)
      • (1 Credit, BMGT 121A)
      • (1 Credit, BMGT 121B)
      • Any 1-credit course
    • (3 Credits, LGST 101)
    • (3 Credits, LGST 200)
    • (3 Credits, LGST 201)
    • (3 Credits, LGST 204)
    • 6 credits of LGST courses
    • 3 credits of elective coursework; we recommend you take courses that are applicable to the bachelor’s degree in legal studies
