Top-Up with Veterans Education Benefits
You may be able to use your veterans education benefits to help pay for your education at UMGC if you are not receiving Tuition Assistance or if your TA does not pay the full cost of your tuition.
Your eligibility depends on a number of factors. The following veterans education benefits may be available to you while you are active duty.
You receive monthly benefits payments based on your training time and can use them to help pay for tuition and books. You must complete a monthly verification of enrollment.
Your monthly benefits are paid directly to UMGC and are based on your rate of pursuit and length of service percentage. You receive a book allowance and may also be eligible for a housing allowance based on your length of service percentage.
Your monthly benefits are paid directly to UMGC and are based on your rate of pursuit and length of service percentage. You receive a book allowance and may also be eligible for a housing allowance based on your length of service percentage but only after separation. Children of military servicemembers may receive the monthly housing allowance while the servicemember is on active duty, but spouses may not.
